Job summary

Grafana Labs is hiring an ML Engineer to lead the evolution of its Interactive Learning recommendation system. You will build, deploy, and operate models, design experiments, and collaborate with engineers and analysts to productionize recommendations.

You will own model training and serving, define measurement methodologies, and translate ambiguous needs into testable hypotheses for measurable product decisions. This is a fully remote role with Sweden as a consideration base.

Qualifications

• Experience building recommendation, ranking, or next-best-action systems.
• End-to-end ownership of models in a product or production environment.
• Strong product thinking and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Evolve the Interactive Learning Plugin's recommendation system.
• Develop personalized candidate selection, ranking, sequencing, and next-best-action strategies.
• Own a real-time recommendation service and associated model training/serving.
• Build and operate applied models and monitor their performance.
• Define metrics for recommendation quality and instrument experiments.
