Job summary

Orcrist is seeking a hands-on Machine Learning Engineer to develop and productionize computer vision and visual language capabilities for intelligence and public safety projects. You will train, evaluate, and optimize models, build data pipelines, and work with satellite imagery and geospatial datasets.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in AI/ML, CV, and data analytics, with hands-on engineering experience and a willingness to travel for architecture reviews and team events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS, Physics, Math or related field.
• Strong programming skills and experience with AI/ML models.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Interest in data pipelines, computing, and large datasets.
• Willingness to travel to Europe for architecture reviews every 2–4 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Develop, train, evaluate, and fine-tune computer vision models and VLMs.
• Work on object recognition, detection, and classification tasks.
• Build data pipelines, scrapers, and workflows for large-scale data.
• Experiment with state-of-the-art/open-source models and deploy reliable systems.
• Collaborate with engineers and leadership on key initiatives.
• Travel every 2–4 weeks for reviews and events.
