Job summary
Orcrist is building a next generation data intelligence platform and seeks a hands‑on ML Engineer to develop and productionize computer vision and visual language capabilities for intelligence and public safety projects.
You will work with state‑of‑the‑art and open‑source models, build data pipelines and scrapers, and collaborate with engineers and leadership to turn experiments into reliable systems. Travel every 2–4 weeks for reviews and events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Master's degree preferred and an excellent academic record.
- Strong programming skills and experience with AI/ML models.
- Experience with computer vision, VLMs, image understanding or related ML applications.
- Excellent German language skills and willingness for security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Develop, train, evaluate, and fine‑tune computer vision and visual language models.
- Work on object recognition, detection, classification, and identification.
- Build data pipelines, scrapers, and workflows for large‑scale visual and geospatial datasets.
- Experiment with state‑of‑the‑art and open‑source models and deploy reliable systems.
- Collaborate with engineers and leadership on key initiatives.
- Travel every 2–4 weeks for architecture reviews and team events.
