Job summary

Global Impact Group LLC is seeking Mixtec Over-the-Phone Interpreters to support USCIS contract. Real-time Mixtec-English telephonic interpretation for interviews, hearings, and asylum proceedings.

This remote role offers flexible schedule, competitive pay of $30–38/hour, paid training, and opportunities for advancement within quality assurance or linguist leadership. Candidates should be US citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/5 clearance.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Mixtec and English.
• 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration or related fields preferred).
• Cultural knowledge of indigenous Mexican communities.
• Familiarity with interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and neutrality.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time Mixtec-English telephonic interpretation for USCIS interviews, hearings, and asylum proceedings.
• Interpret accurately, impartially, and with cultural sensitivity in immigration and legal contexts.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to interpreter ethics standards.
• Support scheduled assignments and urgent/surge requests.
• Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and quality audits.
