Job summary

Emerald Energy and Exploration Land Company is seeking experienced Title Examiners/Abstractors to work remotely on completing West Virginia surface and mineral titles.

You will research public records, compile title chains, and prepare detailed title reports while interpreting deeds and court filings. Strong WV title abstracting skills and independence are required to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Mineral Title Experience required or demonstrated.
• Ability to perform full WV title abstracts, including HBP, leasehold, and fee title.
• Ability to interpret deeds, easements, leases, plats and other records.
• Must be able to work independently and manage multiple projects with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Research and examine online public records related to mineral and surface title in West Virginia.
• Compile full chains of title, identify gaps or defects, and create title abstracts.
• Interpret deeds, easements, leases, plats, probate records, court filings, and other documents.
• Identify ownership interests, encumbrances, and potential title issues.
• Prepare detailed title reports, title acquisition packages, and title commitments.
• Communicate findings clearly in written and verbal formats.
