Job summary

Emerald Energy and Exploration Land Company is seeking experienced Title Examiners/Abstractors to work remotely on West Virginia surface and mineral titles. You will research online public records, compile title abstracts, and prepare detailed title reports for internal review.

Applicants should have proven experience in full title abstracting in West Virginia, including HBP and leasehold. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, with the ability to work independently and

Qualifications

• Must have proven experience completing complex mineral and surface title examinations.
• Ability to perform full title abstracting in West Virginia, including HBP and leasehold.
• Strong interpretive skills for deeds, easements, leases and related records.

Responsibilities

• Research and examine online public records related to mineral and surface titles in West Virginia.
• Compile full chains of title, identify gaps or defects, and create comprehensive title abstracts.
• Interpret deeds, easements, leases, plats, probate records, court filings, and other relevant documents.
• Identify ownership interests, encumbrances and potential title issues.
• Prepare detailed title reports, acquisition packages, and title commitments based on search results.
• Communicate findings clearly in written and verbal formats.
