Job summary

Digifabshop in the United States is seeking a Production Engineer I to translate digital models into CNC programs and design fixtures for complex fabrication projects. You will contribute to optimizing CAM workflows and fixture development for multi-axis machines.

The role emphasizes strong collaboration with the Machines Manager and engineering teams, with a focus on delivering high-precision parts and efficient production methods in a remote-enabled environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in CNC programming, machining, or production engineering, typically gained over 2-4 years.
• Proficiency in Rhino 3D and Mastercam (3-axis and 5-axis).
• A solid understanding of CAM post-processing and machine constraints.
• The ability to design effective fixtures and jigs for CNC operations.

Responsibilities

• Import Fabrication Engineering models and produce 3-axis and/or 5-axis CNC programs.
• Design and develop fabrication-ready 3D models and drawings for all required CNC fixtures and jigs.
• Extract and manipulate geometry from engineering models for part-nesting and cut-lists.
• Actively communicate with the Machines Manager, Engineering team, and CNC Operators to ensure the successful fabrication of all parts.
• Review all specified materials to understand their intended use and limitations.
