Job summary

3V Company seeks a hands-on Industrial Engineer to improve manufacturing processes, increase CNC utilization, and support automation in custom millwork and fixtures. You will work with Engineering, Production, and Project Management to reduce labor, improve quality, and develop repeatable methods.

The ideal candidate will have CNC manufacturing knowledge, practical shop-floor experience, and strong problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, process engineering, or CNC manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of CNC routers, machining centers, tooling, fixturing, and nesting strategies.
• Experience in custom millwork, architectural woodwork, cabinetry, fixtures, furniture, or similar manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read and create shop and production drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach.
• Ability to work effectively with production personnel, engineers, project managers, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to reduce labor, waste, and production time while improving quality.
• Develop and standardize efficient manufacturing processes, procedures, and work instructions.
• Lead Value Engineering (VE) initiatives focused on labor reduction, material efficiency, and process improvement.
• Identify opportunities to automate or standardize repetitive manual processes.
• Serve as a technical resource for CNC manufacturing processes and capabilities.
• Develop CNC strategies that improve machine utilization and reduce manual fabrication.
• Collaborate with programmers, operators, and engineers to improve tooling, fixturing, and machining processes.
• Research new equipment, technologies, tooling, and manufacturing methods.
• Review designs and shop drawings to identify opportunities for improved manufacturability.
• Create and maintain shop drawings, production details, fixtures, templates, and process documentation.
• Work with Engineering, Production, and Project Management to resolve manufacturing challenges.
• Support production standards, material flow, and shop layout improvements.
• Maintain a regular presence on the production floor and identify improvement opportunities.
• Work directly with shop personnel to troubleshoot and improve fabrication processes.
• Identify bottlenecks, delays, and inefficiencies and develop practical solutions.
• Ensure manufacturing methods meet project requirements, company standards, and applicable AWI requirements.
