AgileEngine is seeking a Middle Application Security Engineer to implement hands-on DevSecOps across large-scale CI/CD security programs. You will write Python scripts to integrate SAST, DAST, and SCA gates, tune scanners to minimize false positives, and guide Java and Python teams on secure coding practices.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of combined software engineering and AppSec experience, are proficient in Python, can read Java code, and communicate effectively in English.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of combined software engineering and AppSec experience.
• Solid coding proficiency in Python for automation and scripting.
• Ability to read and navigate Java source code.
• Experience integrating security gates (SAST/DAST/SCA) into CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain scripts to integrate SAST/DAST/SCA gates into CI/CD pipelines.
• Tune security scanning tools to reduce false positives and raise alert quality.
• Assist in deploying automated hardened baselines and secure coding patterns.
• Provide code-level remediation guidance to Java and Python teams.
