Job summary

CBTS is seeking a well-rounded Microsoft Systems Engineer to support a high-visibility government defense program, operating under CMMC compliance requirements. This contract role is fully remote and offers potential conversion to permanent employment based on performance and program needs.

You will own the Microsoft stack—Intune as the primary emphasis, plus M365, Azure AD, Defender, and endpoint management—ensuring audit-ready posture and governance across the environment for the program.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience administering Microsoft technologies in an enterprise setting.
• Strong Intune knowledge for device enrollment, policies, Autopilot and CA.
• Experience with Defender for Endpoint and DLP/compliance controls.
• Familiarity with AAD/Entra ID, Conditional Access, and M365 workloads.

Responsibilities

• Owning Intune configurations, enrollment, compliance policies, and Autopilot.
• Administer and support Microsoft 365 workloads and Azure AD/Entra ID.
• Support Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, and Defender for Office 365.
• Coordinate with partners to ensure auditing, compliance and handoff activities.
• Develop runbooks, SOPs, and technical documentation.
