Job summary

Montgomery College's Rockville Campus is seeking a full-time Biology faculty member in the NSE area to start January 2027. The position primarily teaches Microbiology, with responsibilities in Introductory Biology and Genetics, in a college committed to student success and transfer preparation.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Biological Sciences or closely related field.
• One year of college-level teaching experience or equivalent.
• Experience designing hands-on lab activities with safety protocols.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Teach microbiology, introductory biology, and genetics.
• Design, implement, and assess courses across modalities using LMS.
• Advise students on curricula, transfer options, and opportunities.
• Participate in curriculum development, assessment, and committees.
• Engage in research opportunities with students.
