Job summary

Michigan Association of School Boards seeks a Director of MiCH IT to lead statewide technology deployments and ensure alignment with MAISA’s goals and legislative priorities.

The role requires advanced IT leadership, experience with K12 data and enterprise systems, and the ability to collaborate with CEPI, MDE, ISDs, LEAs, vendors, and other partners. Remote with travel across Michigan; living in Michigan is required.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree or equivalent in IT Management, Educational Technology, Business Administration or related field.
• ISD Administration experience preferred, with understanding of ISDs and local districts.
• Experience leading a team on statewide projects.
• Expertise with K12 data and FERPA/privacy requirements.
• Experience managing and integrating enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead MiCH IT vision and statewide projects ensuring alignment with MAISA goals.
• Build relationships with MiCH IT, CEPI, MDE, ISDs, LEAs, vendors, and partners.
• Facilitate Statewide Advisories and engage MAISA Networks regularly.
• Ensure legislative requirements are met and communicated.
• Oversee MiCH IT operations focusing on student outcomes and governance.
