Job summary

Solventum is seeking an MES & Industrial Automation Engineer to design and deploy manufacturing system integrations across our global network. You will bridge MES (Critical Manufacturing) and Ignition with PLCs and SAP to boost quality, compliance, and efficiency.

You will lead technical projects, set standards, and collaborate with engineering and digital teams. Remote work available with up to 30% travel; FDA/ISO readiness and validation are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems completed and verified, plus 3 years in MES/industrial automation.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, CS, or IS completed and verified, plus 5 years in MES/automation.
• HS diploma with 9 years of MES/automation experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support integrations between Critical Manufacturing MES, Ignition, PLCs, SAP, and other systems.
• Partner with manufacturing sites to gather requirements, define solutions, and implement standardized automation and MES capabilities.
• Develop and deploy machine connectivity, workflow automation, data collection, and equipment integration using best practices.
• Provide technical leadership for MES projects, including design, vendor coordination, validation support, and deployment.
• Define and maintain standards, templates, and best practices for MES and system integration.
