Job summary

Solventum is seeking an MES & Industrial Automation Engineer to design, develop, and deploy automation solutions across its manufacturing network. You will connect Critical Manufacturing MES, Ignition, PLCs, SAP, and other systems while partnering with sites to gather requirements and implement standardized capabilities.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, cross-site collaboration, and adherence to regulated environments.

Qualifications

Master’s degree or higher in an engineering discipline, Computer Science, or Information Systems with 3+ years of MES/automation experience.
Or a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing systems or MES platforms.
Or a High School Diploma with 9+ years of experience in manufacturing systems and MES platforms.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy manufacturing system integration and automation solutions.
Collaborate with manufacturing sites, engineering, and digital tech teams to implement standardized MES solutions.
Develop machine connectivity, workflow automation, data collection, and equipment integration.
Provide technical leadership for MES projects, including design, vendor coordination, and validation.
Define and maintain standards, templates, and best practices for MES and automation.
