Job summary

Harris is seeking a National Group MEP Preconstruction Manager to oversee preconstruction activities for large-scale projects across the United States in a remote capacity. You will lead planning, budgeting, and strategic direction, while developing client and design-team relationships for successful project initiation.

The role requires 8+ years in mechanical/plumbing, strong estimating and PM experience, and willingness to travel 25–50%.

Qualifications

• 8+ years industry knowledge of mechanical and plumbing.
• 6+ years impact on estimating, contracting and corporate objectives.
• 8+ years in engineering principles, procedures and equipment.
• 6+ years delivering pre-construction services.
• Advanced knowledge of plumbing, piping or sheet metal systems.
• Advanced knowledge of estimating and construction PM.
• Willing to travel 25–50%.

Responsibilities

• Deliver preconstruction services with urgency, build trusted advisor relationships with Owner, GC and Design Team.
• Track and manage project scope and budget, establish baseline budgets.
• Develop preconstruction strategies and expand best practices across projects.
• Collaborate to document construction plan including timing, logistics and productivity.
• Drive prefabrication design and constructability across preconstruction.
• Advance tools and IT solutions for the wider construction effort.
• Prepare budgeting and reporting tools for client communications.
• Create dashboards and automate preconstruction reporting.
• Present preconstruction activities and progress to teams.
