Job summary
South Spring Behavioral Health Center in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time, remote-capable role. You will provide high-quality mental health services to a diverse client base from your home office, delivering evidence-based treatment and collaborative care.
The ideal candidate holds a masters or doctoral degree in a relevant field, an AZ license (LMFT/LPC/LCSW), and passes the NCE/NCMHCE, with strong verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
- AZ License in AZ (LMFT/LPC/LCSW) in good standing.
- NCE and/or NCMHCE certification.
- Experience with electronic health record systems (AVATAR).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Compassionate interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Conduct preliminary interviews to assess clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health.
- Document cases from intake to conclusion of treatment.
- Design and implement tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
- Lead individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based practices.
- Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on client progress.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Coordinate care with hospitalization when needed.
- Support families and primary caregivers with strategies to manage challenges.
