Job summary

Cisco Systems is seeking a Technical Sourcing Commodity Manager (remote) to own memory and storage commodities by partnering with hardware engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams across the U.S. You will influence design decisions, enable supplier readiness, and drive cost-efficient, scalable production from prototype to mass production.

Role requires hands-on engagement with memory technologies, supplier development, and NPI execution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in memory & storage technologies with design support and manufacturing engagement.
• 8+ years working directly with hardware design engineering teams on NPI.
• 8+ years engaging suppliers on development, qualification, manufacturing readiness, cost negotiations, RFQ/RFI.

Responsibilities

• Engineering & Technology Alignment with Cisco product architecture and roadmap.
• Lead supplier technology roadmap discussions and assess design approaches.
• Own supplier technical readiness from prototype to mass production.
• Drive value engineering and multi-sourcing to improve cost and reliability.
• Mitigate supply risks and ensure design robustness across suppliers.
• Lead technical reporting and cross-functional status updates.
