Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a Technical Sourcing Commodity Manager (remote) to own memory and storage commodity decisions in collaboration with hardware engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams.

You will drive supplier tech readiness and resolve issues from concept to mass production, influencing design choices and cost outcomes. This engineering-facing role requires hands-on problem solving with supplier teams, deep memory/storage experience, and the ability to navigate NPI processes

Qualifications

7+ years technical experience in memory & storage technologies (NAND solutions) including design support and manufacturing engagement.
10+ years working with hardware design teams on New Product Introductions (NPI).
10+ years engaging suppliers on development, qualification, manufacturing readiness, cost negotiations, RFQ/RFI processes.

Responsibilities

Engineering & Technology Alignment with hardware design and manufacturing to align supplier technologies with Cisco architecture.
Lead supplier technology roadmap discussions; assess design approaches, materials, processes, and capabilities.
Technical escalation point for supplier design, yield, reliability, and manufacturability issues.
Lead/own supplier technical readiness from prototype through mass production (NPI to production).
Facilitate hands-on collaboration between supplier and Cisco teams to resolve design/manufacturing issues.
Support ramp readiness, yield improvement, and transition from NPI to sustained production.
