Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a remote Sourcing Commodity Manager for Memory and Storage to own technical decisions and cost outcomes by partnering with hardware engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams.

This engineering-facing role requires hands-on problem solving, experience guiding memory/storage designs through development to mass production, and the ability to drive supplier readiness and risk management.

Qualifications

• 7+ years technical experience in memory & storage technologies (NAND SSD/eMMC/UFS).
• 10+ years working with hardware design teams on New Product Introductions.
• 10+ years engaging suppliers on development, qualification, and manufacturing readiness.

Responsibilities

• Engineering & Technology Alignment: Partner with Hardware Design Engineering, Component Engineering, and Manufacturing to align supplier technologies with Cisco’s product architecture and roadmap.
• Supplier Technical Leadership: Lead supplier technology roadmap discussions, assessing design approaches, materials, processes, and manufacturing capabilities.
• NPI Execution & Scale Readiness: Lead supplier technical readiness from prototype through mass production and support ramp readiness and yield improvement.
• Value Engineering & Multi-Sourcing: Drive cost-efficiency initiatives and second-source strategies.
