Job summary

Global Fishing Watch (GFW) seeks a REMOTE MEL Consultant to consolidate metrics, review data quality, and anchor a global indicators framework aligned with GFW’s strategy and Theory of Change. The consultant will map metrics, conduct interviews, and produce a draft framework with 15–20 indicators for outcomes and impact.

Duration is approximately 3 months with start tentative in early Q4 2026; work across GMT time zones and deliver practical, decision‑useful guidance for the MEL team.

Qualifications

• Degree in monitoring and evaluation, international development, environmental science, statistics, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience designing results frameworks and indicators for global or international organizations.
• Fluency in English.
• Experience building performance dashboards or data visualization tools (Looker Studio/Power BI).

Responsibilities

• Support metrics review, indicator design, and measurement planning.
• Coordinate with the MEL team and subject‑matter experts.
• Deliver outputs within agreed timelines and standards.
• Facilitate workshops and produce consultation outputs as required.
