Job summary

World Vision USA is seeking a Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Director for a multi-country, USG-funded Faith and Community Initiative. The role centers on providing global MEL leadership for data systems and knowledge management across 16 countries.

The position is Washington, DC-based with a hybrid arrangement, demanding travel and a focus on interoperability with HMIS, DATIM, and iMPAQ to drive evidence-based program improvements.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in public health, epidemiology, statistics, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years’ MEL leadership experience in large-scale, multi-country donor-funded health programs.
• Deep understanding of US DOS/PEPFAR MEL requirements, DATIM reporting, and HMIS platforms.
• Experience with digital health tools, GIS mapping, and integrated data systems (e.g., Salesforce-based iMPAQ).
• Demonstrated expertise in data quality assurance, continuous improvement (PDSA/SAIA), and adaptive management.
• Proven track record leading diverse, multi-stakeholder teams including faith-based and government partners.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Provide global-level oversight and technical leadership for MEL, project information systems, and knowledge management for a 16-country program.
• Ensure high-quality M&E standards, tools and guidance across countries for data collection, reporting, and adaptive management; ensure donor reporting compliance and HMIS interoperability.
• Collaborate on knowledge management, documentation, and dissemination to support advocacy and resource mobilization.
• Lead consortium-wide efforts to promote data comparability for donor reporting, performance management, and learning.
• Facilitate cross-country collaboration and provide technical support to country MEL teams and partners.
• Oversee integration of program data into World Vision’s iMPAQ system to support internal reporting and cross-country analysis.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
