Job summary

Mindpath Health Medical Group is seeking a Medication Line Specialist for a fully remote role. You will work with clinicians to manage medication-related needs, handle patient inquiries and refill requests, and ensure timely access to medications while documenting interactions using SBAR.

This 40-hour/week, Monday–Friday position emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered support throughout the treatment journey and requires healthcare experience in pharmacology, insurance authorization, and EHR

Qualifications

• 1+ year CMA/EMT-B/Pharmacy Technician experience; behavioral health preferred.
• 1+ year experience managing prescription refill requests.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with a customer-service mindset.
• Proficiency with EHR and healthcare software; prior authorization systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for medication inquiries, triaging calls and portal messages.
• Support clinicians in managing medication therapies and adherence.
• Coordinate follow-up appointments with clinicians and front office.
• Facilitate prior authorizations by gathering documents and communicating with payers.
• Monitor clinician inboxes and escalate urgent issues.
• Advocate for patients to remove barriers to medication access.
• Educate patients on refill policies and adherence importance.
• Document interactions using SBAR in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with clinicians, pharmacists, and third-party partners.
• Use de-escalation techniques for distressed patients and assist crisis protocols.
• Participate in special projects as assigned.
