Job summary

Pharmacy Careers seeks a dedicated Medication Access Pharmacist to help patients start therapy on time by navigating prior authorizations, insurance requirements, and financial assistance programs. Roles may be remote or hybrid to reduce access barriers and improve patient outcomes.

You will support prescribers and patients through coverage processes, determine eligibility for assistance programs, and coordinate with providers and payers to ensure timely therapy start and delivery.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist degree required (PharmD or Bachelor of Pharmacy).
• Experience in managed care, patient access, or specialty preferred.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and patient advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Support prescribers and patients through prior authorization and coverage processes.
• Identify eligibility for manufacturer assistance, co-pay support, and patient assistance programs.
• Coordinate with providers, case managers, and payers to ensure timely approval and delivery.
• Educate patients and staff on insurance coverage, financial resources, and access options.
• Track outcomes and continuously improve processes that reduce barriers to care.
