Job summary

ProScribe is seeking a Virtual Medical Scribe to support physicians in a remote, collaborative environment. The role focuses on accurate medical record documentation, real-time transcription during patient visits, and maintaining chart quality across EMR systems.

You will ensure HIPAA compliance, coordinate with clinicians, and adapt to a fast-paced clinic workflow. Availability covers the assigned shifts and requires reliable internet access and a quiet workspace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be 18+ and authorized to work in the US.
• Successful completion of a background check and drug screen.
• Typing speed of 45+ WPM and fluency in English required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble medical record documentation to support providers.
• Virtually enter and transcribe patient visits using EMR systems.
• Update medical records with subjective and objective information as directed.
• Send all documentation to physicians for review and approval.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to monitor lab results and screenings.
• Maintain HIPAA and Joint Commission compliance and clinic policies.
