Job summary

Novartis is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to work field-based and remotely in support of accounts in Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, and Illinois. The MSL will engage with healthcare professionals, discuss clinical data, and collaborate with Medical Affairs to advance medical strategy while complying with company policies.

The role requires deep therapeutic expertise, territory planning, and extensive travel (60–70% of time).

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in science or healthcare required.
• Doctoral degree preferred (MD, PhD, DNP, PharmD, etc.) preferred.
• Strong clinical knowledge including pharmacotherapy, treatment guidelines, and FDA guidelines.
• Ability to engage with HCPs and navigate regulatory/compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Engage with HCPs and thought leaders to advance medical strategy within territory.
• Provide clinical trial support and collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs and Clinical Operations.
• Develop territory plans, map stakeholders, and identify opportunities for partnerships.
• Adhere to Novartis policies and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
