Humana, Inc. is seeking a Medical Records Retrieval Specialist to conduct quality assurance audits of medical records and ICD-9/10 codes for CMS submissions.

This remote, field-based role requires travel to provider offices in or around Smyth County, VA, reporting to the Risk Adjustment Supervisor. You will collect, validate, and upload documentation, adhere to HIPAA and internal policies, and proactively reach out to physician offices to obtain records, while maintaining PHI and meeting

Qualificações

• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• 1+ years of experience with medical records.
• 1+ years of using Microsoft 365 applications (Teams/Outlook).
• Experience managing high-volume workloads and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to articulate information to internal peers and external partners.
• Experience in health care environment/managed care (provider office, billing, release of information, etc.).

Responsabilidades

• Collect, validate, and reconcile medical records to ensure complete and accurate member information.
• Upload verified documentation to the Cotiviti repository with data integrity.
• Adhere to HIPAA and internal policies when handling medical records.
• Follow departmental procedures to complete assignments accurately and efficiently.
• Use company-provided tech (laptops, scanners, encrypted storage) to manage records securely.
• Proactively contact physician offices to obtain records and meet deadlines.
• Maintain confidentiality and safeguard PHI at all times.
• Manage high-volume workload independently while meeting productivity and quality standards.
