Parallon, part of HCA Healthcare, invites applications for a Part-Time Medical Scheduler (Remote). The role supports scheduling patient testing, procedures and admissions, secures pre-certifications, and captures accurate insurance data while handling inbound calls. This work-from-home position requires living within 60 miles of an HCA hospital and a wired internet connection.

Typical shifts are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• 1 year of related experience required, preferably medical procedure scheduling.
• Wired high-speed internet required for work-from-home.
• Must live within a 60 mile radius of an HCA hospital.

Responsabilités

• Answer incoming calls professionally and promptly.
• Schedule patients for ancillary, surgical and medical testing/procedures.
• Enter accurate insurance information and pre-cert/authorization numbers.
• Ensure physician orders are indexed and accessible.
• Maintain knowledge of scheduling reports for the next day.
• Coordinate with physician offices and patient access teams.
• Update patient records and communicate changes to appropriate staff.
