Job summary

Expansion International is partnering with a healthcare interpreting and language services provider to build out a team of Medical Video Remote Interpreters across languages, including Polish. The role is fully remote in the US healthcare system, connecting clinicians with Polish-speaking patients via video, with occasional phone sessions.

Full training is provided, and prior interpreting experience is a bonus rather than required.

Qualifications

• Fluent, professional bilingual communication in English and Polish.
• Understanding of medical interpreting concepts; informal experience acceptable.
• Ability to interpret medical information accurately in both languages.
• Willingness to complete a medical interpreting proficiency assessment.
• Cultural responsiveness and comfort in US healthcare context.
• Reliable, discreet with a customer-service mindset.
• Comfort with video conferencing and new remote technology.
• Able to pass background and drug screening.
• Home workspace that is private and locked with wired internet.
• Comfortable on camera for most of the shift.
• Based in Poland and available to work remotely with ET alignment.
• Role timing aligned with US Eastern Time (ET).

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate, complete video interpreting between English and Polish, with occasional phone sessions.
• Interpret faithfully without adding, omitting, or altering meaning.
• Follow interpreter ethics, standards, and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with healthcare privacy requirements.
• Demonstrate cultural responsiveness and respect for diverse backgrounds.
• Maintain professional conduct before, during, and after sessions; manage boundaries.
• Adapt to evolving technology, workflows, and service requirements.
• Participate in training, coaching, and quality-related activities.
