Job summary

ProPharma is seeking a Medical Information Specialist to join its contact center, handling medical and safety information requests from clinicians and consumers, in compliance with regulatory standards. Qualifications

• RN/BS/BA/MS required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to write fluently and grammatically in the target language.
• English language proficiency.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, regulations and industry standards.
• Strong cognitive abilities: verbal reasoning, critical thinking and analytical ability.
• Ability to multitask with attention to detail within tight timelines.
• Proactive with initiative; able to work independently.
• Willingness to learn and take instruction; team-oriented.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat; experience with document management systems.

Responsibilities

• Responds to unsolicited requests for medical and safety information via phone, website/email, letter, fax, and meetings.
• Provides labeled and unlabeled medical/safety information responses per regulations and SOPs.
• Identifies, documents and reports adverse events, pregnancy reports, special situations and product complaints.
• Ensures tasks are completed within deadlines documented in SOPs and WPs.
• Formulates accurate responses using labeling, literature and data; assists with writing custom responses.
• Logs inquiries in inquiry handling systems; conducts quality assurance.
• Maintains quality; performs QA on adverse events and product complaints.
• Provides after-hours coverage on a rotated basis.
• Complies with privacy policies; health and safety policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
