Job summary

Axogen is seeking a Professional Education Manager to drive the strategic development and execution of medical education and training programs. You will coordinate internal and external educational initiatives, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and ethical standards while traveling 50-70% nationally and internationally.

The role requires a strong background in science or related fields, at least five years in medical devices or health sciences, and robust communication skills to lead

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science, Education, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the medical device or health sciences industry.
• 3 years preferred experience working in a medical education role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willing to travel as necessary.
• Must reside near a major airport.

Responsibilities

• Leads the strategic implementation and focused growth of educational and training courses.
• Develops curriculum, training programs and educational resources requiring clinical knowledge and interpretation of complex medical information.
• Executes large scale national education programs and regional/local events within budget.
• High degree of cross-functional collaboration with market development partners, commercial team, medical affairs, and others.
• Creates, monitors, and reports on metrics and KPIs for assigned educational activity.
• Facilitates the educational grants and sponsorships process with internal and external partners.
• Collaborates with and coaches field sales representatives in determining appropriate use of educational resources.
• Identifies, manages, and maintains relationships with key opinion leaders and brand advocates.
• Develops program faculty including onboarding, speaker training and material development.
• Serves as a course instructor for medical and professional training activities.
• Serves as technical advisor for Axogen key technologies and products.
• Provides training and technical support to customers on Axogen products.
• Drafts and maintains SOPs for required activities.
