Job summary

Centene Corporation is seeking a Manager of Medical Economics to lead analytics strategy, manage two analysts, and deliver data-driven insights for clinical and business stakeholders. The role requires strong SQL/Excel skills and hands-on BI experience in a healthcare setting.

Ideal candidates will combine analytical depth with business acumen, translating complex findings into actionable recommendations and liaising with senior leaders to drive performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, statistics, math, actuarial science, public health, health informatics, healthcare administration, finance or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, large databases, data verification, data management, and complex queries.
• Project management experience preferred and knowledge of Python or R is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-wide analytics projects and translate goals into solutions.
• Manage development efforts with business and technical partners, including requirements and deployment.
• Prioritize work, manage stakeholder expectations, and align with business needs.
• Support customer engagement and transparency with core stakeholders.
• Partner across organization and communicate findings to non-technical colleagues.
• Engage with business leaders to understand market levers and constraints.
• Leverage reporting tools to deliver data-driven insights and recommendations.
• Facilitate cross-team collaboration with health plans, IT, Finance, and Network Development.
• Mentor and develop junior analysts.
