Ladders is seeking a Medical Director - Clinical Advocacy and Support, with specialty surgery preference, for a remote role within the healthcare space. The ideal leader will guide clinical coverage reviews and benefit determinations, applying evidence-based decision making and collaborating with requesting providers and internal partners.

The position offers remote work nationwide in the United States, with a comprehensive compensation package of $248,500 to $373,000 annually and opportunities

Qualifications

• M.D. or D.O. degree required.
• Active, unrestricted medical license.
• Board certification from ABMS or AOA, preferably in Surgery.
• 3+ years of clinical practice post-residency.
• Strong understanding of Evidence Based Medicine (EBM).
• Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct coverage reviews based on member plan benefits.
• Document clinical review findings and outcomes in accordance with policies.
• Engage in peer-to-peer discussions with requesting providers.
• Interpret benefit language during clinical coverage reviews.
• Collaborate with network and non-network providers to support benefit determinations.
• Communicate with internal partners.
• Participate in a call coverage rotation.
