Job summary

Relay Therapeutics is seeking a Medical Director to guide clinical strategy from IND to proof of concept and toward registration in oncology. You will lead cross-functional teams, design early development plans, and prepare critical regulatory documents while ensuring high standards of safety and ethics.

The role emphasizes collaboration with regulatory authorities, investigators, and development leadership, with open remote work options and a strong emphasis on precision oncology development.

Qualifications

• MD/MD-PhD or equivalent with 5+ years of clinical development experience in academic and/or industry settings.
• Experience in solid tumors; oncologic trial design, protocol development and CRF/SAP experience.
• Exposure to working with investigators and trial sites; strong written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior medical staff to design and execute early clinical development plans.
• Write and review Investigator’s Brochures, IND summaries, and regulatory responses.
• Provide medical review of data and prepare results for leadership and regulatory authorities.
• Manage pharmacovigilance activities and support site initiation visits.
• Integrate new clinical insights into development plans and shape the drug discovery portfolio.
