Alliance Health in Charlotte, NC seeks a Medical Director-Physical Health for a primarily remote, full-time leadership role overseeing clinical services, utilization management, and care standards. The Associate Medical Director will help define service criteria, supervise staff, ensure licensure compliance, and collaborate with physicians and mental health professionals.

Candidates must have an MD/DO degree with board certification in Psychiatry or Addiction Psychiatry, NC license or ability to

Qualifications

• MD/DO with approved training in general psychiatry, child psychiatry or addiction psychiatry.
• Current, active North Carolina medical license or able to obtain one.
• Board certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Responsabilités

• Assist with development of service criteria and standards of care.
• Review and manage medical necessity criteria for services.
• Oversee utilization management, quality management and care coordination.
• Review approvals/denials of care and ensure proper audits.
• Provide consultation and training to staff and partners.
• Supervise staff and ensure compliance with policies and licensure.
• Set goals, coach staff, and promote cross-team collaboration.
