Job summary

Jade Biosciences is seeking an experienced Medical Director in Clinical Development to lead and support nephrology programs in rare or immune-mediated kidney diseases. This fully remote role requires some travel and reports to the Executive Medical Director of Clinical Development.

The role emphasizes physician-scientist leadership, cross-functional collaboration with regulatory, biometrics, and clinical operations teams, and strategic input into lifecycle planning and early market preparation.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent medical degree; nephrology board certification preferred.
• 3+ years as nephrologist in academia or industry, incl. trials or rare diseases.
• Experience in clinical trial design, execution, and medical monitoring.
• Strong clinical judgment, scientific rigor, and regulatory knowledge.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, execution, and oversight of nephrology trials.
• Serve as Medical Monitor ensuring patient safety and data integrity.
• Collaborate with operations, regulatory, and biometrics for trial success.
• Educate sites and investigators to support enrollment and study conduct.
• Provide medical input to external partners and vendors.
• Communicate with stakeholders including CMO and CEO.
