Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and medical coding education or active coding certification.
• Preferred associate degree in a healthcare-related field.

Responsibilities

• Utilize encoder, grouper software and coding resources to assign ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS with E/M codes.
• Apply knowledge of NCCI, LCD/NCD directives, MUEs and Medicare guidelines to select codes and modifiers.
• Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and institutional guidelines.
