Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a Medical Coding Specialist to join our revenue cycle team in the United States. The position codes outpatient visits, applies CPT/ICD coding per guidelines, and ensures billing accuracy across multiple specialties.

Ideal candidates have a minimum of one year coding experience, a high school diploma or GED, and AHIMA/AAPC certifications. We support professional development, benefits, and a collaborative work culture.

Qualifications

• 1 year of coding experience
• High School Diploma or GED required
• AAPC or AHIMA coding certification: CPC-A, CPC, CCA or CCS required

Responsibilities

• Review records and assign ICD-9-CM/ICD-10, CPT IV, and HCPCS codes using 3M tools.
• Apply charges for E/M levels, injections, and infusions as applicable.
• Abstract required data per facility specifications.
• Perform medical necessity checks for Medicare and payers.
• Monitor accounts in Discharged Not Final Billed, failed claims, and stop bills as a team.
• Maintain productivity and quality using 3M CAC and coding software.
• Stay current with CMS/NCD/LCD guidelines for modifier assignment.
• Report coding inaccuracies to HIM management and flag potential issues.
• Attend system, hospital, and departmental meetings and trainings.
