Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Coding Quality Reviewer to verify accuracy of medical record documentation, coding and abstracting using ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT. Responsibilities include daily QA entries, responding to rebuttals, and adherence to policy.

Candidates need 5+ years in medical coding/review and must hold a current credential such as RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CPC, CIC or COC, plus pass a coding competency exam. The role reports to the Internal Quality Control Director and may involve various related

Qualifications

• 5+ years of medical coding or review experience.
• Must hold one of the active credentials: RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CPC, CIC or COC.
• Must pass Guidehouse coding competency exam.

Responsibilities

• Access and review medical record documentation, coding and abstracting accuracy per policy.
• Review records via EMR, scanning tech or other methods and document findings daily.
• Respond to coder rebuttals in a timely manner as defined by quality review policies.
• Perform related duties as assigned by the Internal Quality Control Director.
