Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Coding Quality Reviewer to verify medical record documentation and coding accuracy using ICD-10 CM/PCS and CPT classifications. You will access records via EMR or scanning tools, enter findings into our quality review software, and respond to coder rebuttals within policy timelines.

The role reports to the Internal Quality Control Director and performs related duties as assigned. Requirements include 5+ years in medical coding/review, a high school diploma, and active

Qualifications

• 5+ years of medical coding or review experience.
• High School Diploma; relevant experience may substitute.
• Active credentials: RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CPC, CIC or COC.
• Must maintain coding credential while employed by Guidehouse.
• Must pass Guidehouse coding competency exam.

Responsibilities

• Access and review medical record documentation for coding accuracy.
• Review coding and abstracting accuracy using ICD-10 CM/PCS and CPT.
• Use facility EMR, scanning technology or other established methods.
• Enter reviews daily into Guidehouse quality review software and respond to coder rebuttals.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
