The ideal candidate has 5+ years in medical coding, CCS or CPC credentials, and strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS. Collaboration with providers and revenue cycle teams is key.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of medical coding experience with certified credential.
• CCS or CPC certification required.
• Experience in post-acute care settings (e.g., skilled nursing facilities).
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS.
• Excellent communication and training skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct coding audits to ensure compliance with guidelines and reimbursement policies.
• Develop and deliver training materials and modules on coding and documentation.
• Collaborate with providers and operations to clarify documentation and coding issues.
• Work with the technology team to optimize EMR processes and reduce denials.
• Stay updated on healthcare regulations and coding guidelines.
• Review records to assign precise ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
• Provide ongoing education and refresher training for staff.
• Support onboarding with coding training for new providers.
