Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented full-time Certified Medical Coding Auditor to conduct internal and coordinate external coding audits, ensuring accuracy and compliance in a remote work environment.

The role develops and implements audit plans, analyzes findings, and delivers education programs for Health Information Management coding staff to improve coding accuracy and reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in health information management or related field or equivalent experience.
• Three years of experience in coding, audit, or denials coordination.
• Certification such as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, COC, or CIC; new hires with CCA or CPC must obtain one within one year.

Responsibilities

• Conduct internal and coordinate external coding audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines.
• Develop and implement detailed audit plans and programs in response to changes in coding guidelines and new code implementations.
• Analyze audit findings and provide corrective action plans while planning education programs for coding staff based on these findings.
