Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a full-time HCC Coding Auditor to support a remote, U.S.-based project. The role involves quality assurance of coded medical records to ensure accuracy and client-specific guideline compliance, with a target 95% diagnosis-level accuracy.

Responsibilities include auditing records per guidelines, conducting QA reviews, and adapting to multiple client projects, with participation in weekly coding project review meetings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of medical coding experience.
• Must have Humana experience.
• Current AHIMA or AAPC coding credential (e.g., RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, CPC-H, COC, CIC, CRC).
• Extensive knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and disease processes.

Responsibilities

• Audit coded medical records according to client-specific guidelines and project requirements.
• Perform quality assurance reviews on randomly selected charts and maintain a minimum 95% quality accuracy at the diagnosis level.
• Transition between different client guidelines and projects while participating in weekly coding project review meetings.
