Job summary

Jobgether SRL, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Medical Coding Auditor to review inpatient, outpatient, and professional services for VA-related facilities.

This fully remote role supports VA medical centers across Georgia, Alabama, and South Carolina, with a 12-month initial term and potential extensions. Strong coding knowledge and teaching skills are essential to improve accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Active RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, or CPC-H credential required.
• At least 3 years of coding experience in large hospitals/outpatient settings.
• 3 years of education and training experience in coding/health information management.
• Expert knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS, DRG/MS-DRG, APC, E/M, NCCI edits.

Responsibilities

• Audit coded medical records across inpatient facility, outpatient facility, and professional services.
• Review up to 25 diagnoses and 25 procedures per record for facility and professional services.
• Develop statistically valid audit samples and supporting data tools.
• Prepare facility-level audit reports on accuracy, financial impact, and findings.
• Lead/participate in education plans and train-the-trainer sessions for coders and physicians.
