Emory Healthcare is seeking a Medical Coding Auditor to ensure accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance for professional coding services. The role reviews patient records, clinician documentation, and coded data to identify discrepancies and support appropriate reimbursement.

You will collaborate with providers, coders, and compliance teams, conduct routine audits, provide training on coding standards, and stay current with ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS guidelines.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years of post-secondary education in a business or medical-related field is preferred.
• Two years of experience in medical billing, coding, or healthcare revenue cycle is preferred.
• Coding certification (e.g., CCS-P, CPC, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC-H) is required.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of medical coding and documentation for professional coding services.
• Review patient records and coded data to identify discrepancies and coding issues.
• Collaborate with providers, coders, and compliance teams to support accurate coding practices.
• Support reimbursement and mitigate compliance risks through detailed coding reviews.
• Conduct chart reviews to evaluate coding accuracy and documentation quality.
• Participate in audits and provide education on coding standards and documentation improvement.
