Emory Healthcare is seeking a remote Medical Coding Auditor to ensure the accuracy and completeness of professional coding and documentation. You will review patient records, detect coding discrepancies, and collaborate with clinicians and compliance staff to support compliant coding practices.

Responsibilities include conducting chart reviews, performing audits, and delivering education on coding standards.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of post-secondary education in a business or medical-related field preferred.
• Two years of experience in medical billing, coding, or healthcare revenue cycle.
• Coding certification required (e.g., CCS-P, CPC, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC-H).
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of medical coding and documentation for professional services.
• Review patient records and coded data to identify discrepancies and coding issues.
• Collaborate with providers, coders, and compliance teams to support accurate coding practices.
• Prepare detailed audit reports with findings and recommendations.
• Provide education and training on coding standards and documentation improvements.
