Job summary

Appsierra Group is seeking a Medical Coder Expert to join its AI clinical coding evaluation initiative. You will craft realistic coding scenarios, produce expert reference answers, and judge AI-generated coding for accuracy and compliance.

This fully remote hourly contract requires CPC or CCS certification, 2 years of production coding experience, and the ability to explain coding decisions in written English. Minimum 10 hours per week, weekly payments via Stripe.

Qualifications

• 2 years of production medical coding experience
• Certification in CPC or CCS in good standing
• Ability to explain coding decisions in written English
• Availability to contribute at least 10 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Create realistic coding scenarios based on clinical documentation and final code assignment
• Develop reference answers explaining reasoning and guidelines
• Evaluate AI-generated coding for accuracy, documentation support, and compliance
• Identify codes that seem reasonable but would fail professional review or audits
• Provide clear explanations of coding decisions and guideline application
