Job summary

Appsierra Group is seeking experienced Medical Coders to evaluate and improve AI-driven clinical coding systems. You will craft realistic coding scenarios, provide reference answers, and judge AI coding decisions for accuracy and compliance.

The role focuses on ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and documentation interpretation with remote, hourly contractor engagement. Availability of at least 10 hours weekly is required.

Qualifications

• Certification in good standing: CPC (AAPC) or CCS (AHIMA).
• At least 2 years of production medical coding experience.
• Strong working knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS.
• Hands-on experience interpreting clinical documentation and assigning codes.
• Ability to clearly explain coding decisions in written English.

Responsibilities

• Create realistic coding scenarios based on clinical documentation and assign final codes.
• Develop reference explanations showing reasoning and applicable coding guidelines.
• Evaluate AI-generated coding for accuracy, documentation support, and compliance.
