Formación

• Proven ability to communicate effectively with healthcare staff.
• Proficiency in medical records handling and privacy standards.
• Experience with coding systems and hospital coding guidelines.
• Familiarity with AHIMA/AAPC certifications is preferred but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Review medical records to identify principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures.
• Translate clinical terms into coded form for claims submission.
• Use Encoder software to assign codes and determine DRG.
• Query physicians to clarify documentation for accurate coding.
• Stay updated on coding guidelines and contribute to accuracy and data quality.
