Job summary

Oasis Health Partners is seeking a Medical Coder/AR Specialist to support independent and community-based primary care practices. You will ensure accurate outpatient coding and clean claim submission, and perform AR follow-up and denial resolution to keep revenue flowing.

Ideal candidates have CPC, 2+ years in AR follow-up, 1 year in eClinicalWorks, and strong CPT/ICD-10/HCPCS knowledge. This remote role offers competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• CPC certification required.
• 2+ years AR follow-up and denial management experience.
• 1 year hands-on experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW).
• Experience posting insurance payments including EOB/ERA.
• Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS and payer rules.
• Experience communicating with patients about balances and charges.
• Ability to work remotely with HIPAA compliance and high accuracy.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assign accurate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes for outpatient encounters.
• Enter and manage charges within eClinicalWorks (eCW).
• Post insurance payments and denials accurately per EOB/ERA.
• Review, submit, and track claims through the billing lifecycle.
• Conduct AR follow-up on unpaid/denied claims with payors.
• Identify and resolve coding-related denials; resubmit as needed.
• Work aging AR reports to reduce balances and AR days.
• Communicate with payors to resolve claim issues.
• Explain charges to patients and address billing questions.
• Collaborate with providers and billing staff on documentation.
• Stay current on payor policies and coding guidelines.
