Job summary

At HCA Healthcare, Parallon is seeking a Medical Insurance Claims Follow-up Specialist to process insurance accounts, address claim issues, and drive payment resolutions. The role involves calling insurers, reconciling balances, and applying hospital billing knowledge from home.

The position requires 3–5 years in medical insurance follow-up and experience with Microsoft Office; wired home internet is required and employees must reside within 60 miles of an HCA hospital.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in Medical Insurance Claims Follow-up/Billing for a facility, medical clinic, or doctor's office.
• Physician and Hospital Claim Denial experience required
• Experience with Adobe documents
• Remote roles require wired high-speed internet (25 Mbps down, 15 Mbps up).
• Remote employees must live within a 60 mile radius of an HCA Hospital

Responsibilities

• Status accounts and document all work performed in the company and client computer systems.
• Assess accounts to determine next action in line with policies.
• Place outbound calls to insurance companies, guarantors, patients, doctors’ offices and/or facilities.
• Process related correspondence from insurance companies and perform follow-up.
• Reconcile balances and payments between insurance companies and clients systems.
• Understand medical and insurance terminology and hospital/physician billing.
• Demonstrated communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collect, create and research complex information.
• Provide exceptional customer service and plan, organize and exercise sound judgment.
